The Team at the Zoo

Rosamira Guillen Is the landscape architect who we admire for the design and ornamentation of each one of the new exhibits and the different areas of the Zoo. She is also our current Executive Director, who leads the promise of a place where we can get close to nature and learn to live together in harmony with the other species of this planet.

Liliana Baca is in charge of the Zoo' finances, responsible for efficiently managing our resources in order to meet the needs of the Zoo's species population.

Myriam Salazar Is in charge of coordinating the biology and research programs of the Zoo. She trains the animal keepers on the care and handling of the Zoo's different animal species, and also supervises the hygienic and safety issues of the exhibit and handling areas. In addition she coordinates the environmental enrichment program and supervises the implementation of the Zoo's Animal Collection Plan.

Santiago Monsalve Is the doctor of our animals; he is responsible for the health and welfare of the more than 500 animals which are part of the Zoo's collection.

Reinaldo Niebles Is in charge of the education department, so visitors not only have a recreational experience but also an educational one.

 Is the group of people who have the mission of taking care of the animal collection and of maintaining their habitats. Since they spend so much time with the animals they know a lot about their habits and needs.
